Released August 22, 2026.
The more you save, the more your new tab page needs to be scannable at a glance. TabBud 1.6 is about seeing where you are and finding things faster: colorful Collections, bigger Space titles, a cleaner Collection view, and the ability to move a Collection to another Space.
Colorful Collections
Each Collection can now have its own color:
- Tell Collections apart at a glance, without reading every title
- A clearer visual hierarchy, with less clutter
- Colors carry through to the rest of TabBud. In 2.4, each AI summary is tinted with its Collection’s color
Tip: use color to mean something. For example, green for active work, amber for waiting on someone, gray for reference.
Bigger Space titles
Space titles are larger and more prominent, so you always know which Space you’re in, even with several open across the day.
A cleaner Collection view
Collection actions no longer crowd the view. Share, Edit and Delete appear when you hover over a Collection’s title, so they’re there when you need them and out of the way when you don’t.
Move Collections between Spaces
Projects change shape. A Collection that started in “Research” may belong in “Client: Acme” by the end of the week. You can now move it without recreating it:
- Open the Collection’s Update Collection option.
- Choose Move.
- Pick the Space it belongs in.
Its tabs move with it.
Also in 1.6
- Layout and spacing improvements across the interface
- A refined visual hierarchy
- Smoother Collection interactions
- Stability and responsiveness improvements, based on user feedback
